Lorraine Crow
Charity Management
With over 45 years of experience as a community leader and executive fundraiser, I have dedicated my life to philanthropy, education, and advocating for the less fortunate. As a retired Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE), I have served in pivotal roles as a Principal/Campus Director for adult career colleges, a Grant and Community Initiatives Director for the Mississauga Foundation and Director of Philanthropy for The Riverwood Conservancy, championing and supporting the causes of more than 400 charities within the City of Mississauga.
My commitment to service is reflected in my leadership roles, including serving on board of directors and fundraising committees, including The Peel Learning Foundation, Visual Arts Mississauga, Credit Valley Conservation Trail and am currently the President Designate for the Rotary Club of Mississauga. I am particularly proud of founding the Interact Youth Grant Writing competition for Rotary District 7080 and my work as Co-Chair of the International Service and Peace and Environment Committees, focusing on projects, from tree planting to providing medicine to third world countries.
Beyond my professional endeavors, I enjoy swimming, golfing and travelling with my husband Jim and family. Our count is 74 countries and 6 of 7 continents to date, more to come! Most importantly, I am a proud mother of two and grandmother of three teenagers, driven by a lifelong dedication to enhancing the lives of all residents in my home Mississauga.
