On Tuesday, February 10th, we had the privilege of gathering for a very special evening — our Sponsor Appreciation Event for 100 Women Who Care Mississauga.
This event was intentionally designed to pause, reflect, and express our sincere gratitude. While our Giving Circles focus on the charities we support, this evening focused on the partners who help make our impact possible — our sponsors.
It was an evening rooted in connection, celebration, and community.
A Beautiful Setting for Gratitude

From the moment guests arrived at 4620 Kimbermount Avenue, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The venue provided the perfect backdrop for meaningful conversation, connection, and celebration. The food and beverages were thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, creating a relaxed and elevated experience for everyone in attendance.

Recognizing the People Behind the Mission
After a brief welcome, we introduced our newest Steering Team members and acknowledged the incredible women working behind the scenes to keep our chapter strong, organized, and growing.
Our Steering Team plays a vital role in everything we do — from coordinating Giving Circles, to reviewing nominations, to managing sponsorship relationships, communications, membership growth, and logistics. Events like this one don’t simply happen. They are thoughtfully planned and executed by women who care deeply about community impact.
We were also proud to introduce Judy Ward-Prete , who is stepping in to work along Margo Mcdougall within our Sponsorship portfolio. As we continue to grow and deepen our partnerships, having focused leadership in this area ensures our sponsors feel valued, connected, and informed.

Reflecting on 2025: Impact Made Possible by Partnership
One of the most meaningful parts of the evening was taking time to reflect on what we accomplished together in 2025.
Because of the support of our sponsors and members:
- We contributed over $45,000 in 2025 alone – collectively donating to 3 much deserving charities: Start2Finish, Options Mississauga, and EveryMind.
- We have now donated more than $175,000 since our inception (See all past charity recipients)
- We supported multiple local charities serving diverse and critical causes across Mississauga
- We continued to grow our membership community – at time of this blog 150 members
- We were honoured to receive two awards last year, including the Sam McCallion Community Involvement Award at the 2025 Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) Business Awards of Excellence (read more about that in our blog)
- We published our Annual Report, reinforcing our commitment to transparency, accountability, and measurable community impact
Each of these milestones represents real lives touched — individuals supported, families strengthened, and community organizations empowered to continue their work.
And every dollar donated reflects the power of collective giving — women coming together with purpose.

During the evening, we invited each sponsor to share a brief one-minute introduction of their business and what they are currently working on. This time allowed everyone in the room to better understand one another’s work, deepen relationships, and spark new connections.

Looking Ahead: Deepening Community Connections in 2026–2027
While reflection is important, growth requires vision.
As we move into 2026–2027, our focus is on deepening connections within the Mississauga community and building partnerships with other aligned organizations.
We believe that collaboration multiplies impact.
We are exploring opportunities to connect with groups whose missions complement ours — organizations that, like us, value community, transparency, and local engagement. For example, potential partnership conversations may include community institutions such as the Art Gallery of Mississauga, among others.
By fostering relationships with like-minded groups, we can expand awareness, grow our network, and continue strengthening the local ecosystem of support.
Our goal is simple: deepen roots locally while continuing to grow responsibly.
The Power of Gathering
Beyond the numbers and the milestones, what made the evening meaningful was the room itself.
Sponsors, Steering Team members, and community leaders gathered not for a fundraising ask, but for appreciation.
The conversations were genuine.
The laughter was shared.
The connections were real.
We often speak about the impact of the charities we support — and rightly so. But this evening reminded us that impact also happens in rooms like this. When people come together intentionally. When businesses choose to invest locally. When volunteers give their time. When hospitality partners open their doors.
This is how strong communities are built.
